OOPS!
Well, I really did it this time! On July 6, 2007, I was on top of a ladder trying to hammer a long metal stake into the ground to tie up one of my tomato plants, when all of a sudden the ladder legs on the right side started sinking into the ground and tipping over. Needless to say, I fell from the ladder (or did I jump?) and I really did a bang up job on my right leg and knee which consisted of multiple breaks. It's been a long, hard, painful journey this far and I'm still in a wheelchair unable to put any weight on my leg. I've just started physical therapy so more pain will be coming my way. But, I'm planning on working hard and doing everything the therapist says to do as I need to get back my independence and get on with my life. I've decided to put my doll designing on hold for a little while so I can concentrate on this healing process and am looking forward to the day when I can continue with my life as it used to be.

MAY'S FLOWERS - CF242
MAY'S FLOWERS - CF242
Here's my latest pattern in the Monthly Doll Series and she's a real cutie. I had so much fun creating her. Her flowers were created using a process called "ruching" with a Yo-Yo used for the centers. She wears infant sized cloth sandals and I have to say that I really enjoy shopping for just the right baby shoes for my dolls. I think the reason why I enjoy this so much is that I so wanted just one little granddaughter to spoil and dress in all the cute little outfits they have for little girls nowadays but I only received grandsons - six of them to be exact! And I love every one of them but . . . . . I so wanted a little girl. So, I now have to be content with my little girl dolls with their little girl shoes!
